This site is run by jackpsd. This page says what it collects and why. It is short because the site collects very little.

When you buy a cover

• The title and the artist name you type in. They are the point of the purchase.
• Your email address, which Square passes back once the payment goes through. It is how the sale is tied to a person and how Jack reaches you about it.
• Which cover you bought, when, and what was paid.

That is the whole list. Your card number is never on this site. Square collects it, Square keeps it, and Jack could not see it if he wanted to.

When you are only looking

PostHog counts page views so Jack can see whether the site is being used. The Meta pixel loads as well. Most people who land here arrive from an ad, and the pixel is the thing that tells Meta which ad worked, which also means Meta learns that you were here.

Neither of them runs on the confirmation page after a purchase. That page carries your download link in its address, and analytics send the address with every event, so they are switched off there on purpose.

Stopping abuse of the checkout

The site counts checkout attempts so nobody can flood it. What it stores for that is a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself, and the hash is thrown at nothing else.

Who else touches any of this

• Square, which takes the payment and passes back your email.
• Convex, the database holding the orders and the cover files.
• Netlify, which hosts the site.
• Tally, which runs the custom order form. Filling that in sends it to Jack’s own Tally account and on to a private Discord channel he uses to keep track of orders.
• PostHog and Meta, for the analytics described above.

None of this is sold, and none of it is handed to anybody outside that list.

Cookies

PostHog and Meta set cookies so a returning browser is recognised as the same one. Blocking them in your browser, or with an extension, does not stop you buying anything. The site works the same either way.

How long it is kept

Order records are kept so Jack has a record of what he sold and to whom. Analytics data ages out on PostHog’s and Meta’s own schedules, which are theirs and not ours.

Asking for your data

Message @jack_.psd to ask what is held about you or to have it deleted. Records attached to a completed sale may be kept, because they are the receipt for it.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
